FAQs Regarding the Coronavirus Before Ordering Outboard Motors

Feb. 08, 2020

As the novel coronavirus continues to spread in China, factories will remain closed until the end of February.

We are not going to talk about the virus here because the information about what it is, how it progresses, how it spreads and how to protect ourselves is available everywhere.

All #CalonGloriaOutboardMotor staff are staying home and following the instructions given by our government to reduce the risk of infection. Sales Team is still online for service.

Below are some questions might frequently be asked by our clients these days:

1. How long does the virus survive on surfaces? (From WHO)

It is still not known how long the 2019-nCoV virus survives on surfaces, although preliminary information suggests the virus may survive a few hours. Simple disinfectants can kill the virus making it no longer possible to infect people.

2. Is it safe to receive a package from China or any other place where the virus has been identified? (From WHO)

Yes, it is safe.  People receiving packages are not at risk of contracting the new coronavirus. From experience with other coronaviruses, we know that these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects, such as letters or packages. Currently there is no evidence to support transmission of 2019-nCoV associated with imported goods.

3. Will logistics be affected by the coronavirus?

All logistics should be resumed gradually after the Chinese New Year holiday as usual. We will arrange orders according to the sequence of payments. In addition, we will cooperate with relevant authorities to expedite logistics arrangement when possible.

China is sparing no efforts in coronavirus fight against the epidemic with the international community. We all believe that the virus will finally be controlled and killed. Thank you all for your blessings and supports, which keep all Chinese people warm during this hard time.
